We have been in the blogosphere for less than a month, and already we are getting visitors from all over the world! Welcome to you, and I have now created a guestbook - it is very easy to add a message by clicking on "comment", and we would love to know who you are and where you are from!
Internationalism is increasingly being seen as a way to move schools into the future. It makes a great focus for school development with the DCSF International School Award as the framework.
- It supports the five outcomes of Every Child Matters
- It can improve the quality of learning and teaching
- It can act as a framework for new learning and teaching strategies such as through shared collaborative projects
- It offers strong approaches to Student Voice and Citizenship provision
- It enhances curricular provision offering real learning experiences and involvement for all
- It supports development in areas such as Global Dimension, Community Cohesion, Diversity Agenda and Skills
- It engages parents and the wider community, including faith groups and cultural centres in UK towns and cities
- It creates opportunities to involve, share and celebrate with stakeholders, including Ofsted, through the SEF
